LOS ANGELES, April 27 — A new Omicron subvariant is spreading in the United States and has drawn concern for its high transmissibility and new symptoms.

MANILA, May 17 — The Philippines' Department of Health confirmed on Tuesday local transmission of the highly transmissible Omicron BA.2.12.1 subvariant of Covid-19 in the country.
